Before I read "Walking on Water" I re-read the books in order to familiarize myself with the characters, the events, and the progress. I know I will be reading the series again and again because it is just brilliantly conceived and narrated throughout.

Loss is great in this book but the loss leads to revelation and peace/5(K). Like so many other fans, I eagerly anticipated the finale installment of Richard Paul Evans The Walk series, Walking on Water. After traveling vicariously through Alans eyes for the last 4 years I was almost sad to see the adventure end as I counted the days to May 6th, /5.

A great ending to the "Walk" series, "Walking on Water" is a satisfying read that ties all of the ends together. Before this series, I had never read any of Richard Paul Evans' books and I felt like I'd found a real gem of an author from the very first book/5.

The flashback about the mangoes includes Salva being reminded of how sometimes when his father went to the market he would bring back mangoes and stick them in the wheels of his bicycles he would see their green skin swirl around and around as he pedaled then his mother would peel them revealing a beautiful orange similar to her head scarf and Salva would bite into the sweet juicy fruit.

Walking on Water is a delightful queer retelling of The Little Mermaid. Our main character, Held, starts the story out as Calla, a mermaid princess. When he gets turned human, he ends up in a male body, and realizes that all this time, the reason he's felt odd and out of place among his sisters is because he isn't she after /5.

From his journal entries, Christoffersen appears to be a man without fault. No, he doesn’t compare himself to Jesus, but the metaphor is clear. After a rain, he realizes he's “walking on water,” but it’s no Sea of Galilee. Anyone can walk on water this shallow. Readers of.

When you get discouraged, remember that like Peter, you can and are walking on water with Christ. Sinking and rising is part of the process of this life. Instead of giving up, you can keep reaching up and holding on to God until you are walking on water again.

Matthew, however, includes two details that Mark does not. First, Matthew reports that the disciple Peter also walks on water when Jesus calls him out of the boat. Second, Matthew reports that the disciples all confess Jesus to be the “Son of God” after seeing the miracle.

I was blind walking up the steps, but I heard the water and I smelled the earth, the earth in the shadow of the house, underneath the trees, in the places untouched by sunlight, the acrid stink of rotting leaves, and the smell transported me back in time.

Will haunt you long after this book is over. “Into the Water" captures all the /5(). Walking on Water is filled with transformational wisdom and insight that begs us as humans to stop seeking our happiness and fulfillment outside of ourselves.

The title refers to a brilliant lesson that teacher imparts to students near the end of their class; a lesson that makes the impossible not only possible, but worth the risk and discomfort.

One can surmise that walking on water was the plan all along—after all, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of reason for Jesus to be the one sending the people away. Granted, there are a lot of them, but if the teachings are over then he can simply say goodbye and go on his way.

Overall, Walking on Water and Other Classic Messages is definitely one of the best books I have ever read. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to strengthen their faith and learn more about Christ. I enjoyed this book every time I picked it up. It will bring enjoyment to you as it has brought enjoyment to me.4/5(3).
